Terms of Service

Welcome to Qoollege. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Qoollege website, web application, and related services (the “Service”) operated by Qoollege (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

The Service is intended for students, parents/guardians, and educational counselors. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users under 18 must provide a parent or guardian email address during registration. That adult receives an invitation to create a linked guardian account and is responsible for supervising the minor’s use of the Service.

If you are creating an account on behalf of a minor, you represent that you are the minor’s parent or legal guardian and consent to these Terms on their behalf.

2. Account Registration

To use most features of the Service you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and all activity under your account. Notify us at info@qoollege.com immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Qoollege offers free and paid subscription tiers (“Standard” and “Plus”). Paid plans are billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the then-current rate until you cancel.

• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time in account settings. Paid feature access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: Payments are non-refundable except where required by law or as stated at time of purchase.
• Price Changes: We may change prices with at least 14 days’ notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations.
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems.
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service without our prior written consent.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Engage in conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone from using or enjoying the Service.

5. AI-Powered Features and Recommendations

The Service uses artificial intelligence to provide college recommendations, profile feedback, and other guidance. These suggestions are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional educational, legal, or financial advice. We make no guarantee that following any recommendation will result in admission to any institution.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are the exclusive property of Qoollege and its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

You retain ownership of content you submit (such as personal profile information). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process it solely to provide and improve the Service.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services such as Google (sign-in) and Stripe (payments). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party practices.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QOOLLEGE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to others. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property claims.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the Last Updated date and notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
